Green Shipping Corridors

Green Shipping Corridors are a shipping route on which zero-carbon emissions ships and other emissions reduction programmes are deployed, and emissions reductions are measured and enabled through public and private actions and policies.

Originally envisaged at COP26, in 2021, there are currently 57 such corridors operating, representing a doubling of lanes since this time last year.

The availability of biofuel across the port pairs is what is driving such significant growth and all of the major shipping lines are embracing this initiative to ensure their clients have green options available.

Bunkering blends of upto 30% B100 biofuel with 70% VLSFO is now becoming the norm in all major shipping hubs across the world.
